Primary Use Case
A platform team wants to log software output in their Linux-based environment to a central location, transformed into structured objects and then stored as relational data.
This logged software could be writing to a log file, STDOUT and STDERR, or named pipes and could exist across many Linux hosts.
It could be a low amount of log traffic or could be immense, so the solution will need to be capable of scaling in topology to match the demand for logging traffic.
The administration team in this case that wishes for the logging would view this as infrastructure and not part of the application itself.
Secondary Use Case
A re-implementation of IRCThulu with a semi-trusted contribution model that integrates with the IDM/A component.
